And until today, she has prepared with her students a show composed by 8 pieces of the music.
I did not know much about the Oriental dance.
That I usually see is like women attractively dancing with tight and thin costume with many ornament.
Although I remember that when I saw one normal lady dancing with the strong shake of the hips in the rural house in the middle of a lot of men musicians in the film Latcho Drom of Tony Gatlif, I got so impressed and touched that that dance seemed to take part of their daily life like their breath of each moment.
In spite of the short time of the rehearsal, Vera made choreographies and they all practised sometimes even only between them without the teacher.
All of them were strongly beautiful on the stage.
(well, I don't say that they are not beautiful in the daily life. Something that we don't usually see came up... so they were differently beautiful.)
I really felt sometimes like they are offered sacrifices... maybe their energy is a sacrifice to the god through eyes to the public...
It could be said when every single dancers or musicians or performers comes on the stage.
We should be sacrifices to bring the gift from the god (of goodness or of badness) through our bodies. So, if we don't give/expose all our life/existence, the gift will not appear...
Vera is dancer with fire inside.
Her second solo in the performance vibrate in my heart. It was 6th piece of 8 of the show.
She should have been already physically tired.
But it was with the music with fast tempo.
She must dance.
Her body seemed to be getting very tired until that it doesn't move so fast as her will wants.
(maybe it's a wrong impression... from what she lived at that moment.)
But I felt something, like the lust of any life on the Earth to survive in the fight, emerging from the exhaustion of her human mind and body...
And... Vanessa, daughter of a student, and Vera... cute...
